Job Description

          We are currently looking for a dedicated member to join our patient care team as a Patient Care Assistant. If you are passionate about healthcare and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply. Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Providing direct patient care under the guidance of an RN
• Ensuring that patients' physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs are met
• Conducting all assigned duties related to direct patient care in accordance with the Maryland Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all activities related to patient care, using the clinical information system
• Communicating effectively with all members of the patient care team, utilizing appropriate lines of authority

 Qualifications for the Practical Nursing Position:

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• Possession of a current Maryland State Board of Nurses license
• Recent nursing practice (within the last five years) or a refresher course taken within the last six months
• Must have American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification upon hiring.
